2010 EDGAR NOMINEES and ROBERT L. FISH AWARD WINNER
Mystery Writers of America has announced the nominees for this year’s Edgar Awards. Of particular interest to us is the list of honored short stories. Here they are:
Edgar Nominees for Best Short Story:
“Last Fair Deal Gone Down” by Ace Atkins, Crossroad Blues (Busted Flush Press)
“Femme Sole” by Dana Cameron, Boston Noir (Akashic Books)
“Digby, Attorney at Law” by Jim Fusilli, Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine (Dell Magazines)
“Animal Rescue” by Dennis Lehane, Boston Noir (Akashic Books)
“Amapola” by Luis Alberto Urrea, Phoenix Noir (Akashic Books)
Robert L. Fish Memorial Award:
“A Dreadful Day” by Dan Warthman, Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine (Dell Magazines)
Congratulations to all!
Thanks for the list! This may be as good a place as any to mention that C.B.’s own Steven Steinbock’s story “Cleaning Up” is in the EQMM March/April issue’s “Department of First Stories.” Congrats, Steve!
Congratulations, Steve.
Thanks for the info, Jeff. I’m standing by the mailbox . . .
Thanks, Jeff and Terrie. My issue didn’t arrive until today’s (Wednesday’s) mail. I’m excited!
A lot of nominees there for Akashik Books. Those are great anthologies, but I’m surprised there are no EQMM stories on the list.
Congratulations, Steve! I have the issue in my hands and am looking forward to reading your story this very evening.
