Editor’s Note to Readers
Readers may notice that the “Log in” page has changed from featuring the Criminal Brief visual theme to the generic WordPress login screen. This is because as a countermeasure against spambots, I have now made it a requirement for new users to provide a first and last name when they register, and I haven’t yet figured out how to reconcile the theme with this new requirement. The functionality is unaffected and already registered users will not be required to register again. Thanks for your understanding. –JLW
This gives me an opportunity to share a funny! (Okay, not too funny!) When the security text thing started I started noticing a similarity to the name of Mr. Mxyzpltlk and other characters from his otherworldly realm. (Mr. M. was a character in the Superman Comics a while back.) I believe I actually logged-in using the unpronouncible name of Mr. M.’s girlfriend once (which began with a G, and had a bunch of other consonants in it.)
Yours from the land of Zrff
—–Jeff Baker (And thanks for the security! True detective work!!)
Too funny, Jeff!
And I’ve got no roof in my mouth! I can’t pronounce “Jeff” right, let alone “Mxyzpltk!” (To say nothing of the banishing word “Kltpzyxm.”)
Wayyy too funny!
Best,
